Bertisch, Alexandra Hovaguimian, Dean M. Cestari, Rodrigo Saavedra-Walker, David Borsook, Bruce L. Doran, Catherine Buettner, Rami Burstein. The study was called “Migraine photophobia in cone-driven retinal pathways. In this study, the authors report findings that “green light is least likely to exacerbate migraine headaches and that at low intensities it may even be therapeutic by reducing the headache intensity”.
The authors also state that photosensitive retinal ganglion cells containing melanopsin are photoreceptors with “peak sensitivity to blue light”.
